Hammamet Beach hotels: Top 5

Northern Africa

Hammamet is among the Africa’s prominent holiday destinations whose scenic medina is the top draw among the tourists. One of the most interesting attractions here is the Hammamet Beach that is known for its myriad of water sports. In fact, the gulf of Hammamet has resulted in many ideal beaches here both in north as well as south, which intermingle with the private beaches of the hotels especially outside the formerly called Sebastian Villa now known as the International Cultural Centre. So, just burst out to thrill with jet-skiing, windsurfing, diving, and water-skiing. I recommend having your own vehicle and go exploring the wilder beaches after the Yasmine Hammamet.

In the north and south, the Hammamet Beach hotels can be found, which are mostly affordable by a budget traveler. If you are looking for upscale hotels, then they are also within 10 km in the south at the Yasmine Hammamet. Here, are my top 5 pick of stay considering all kinds of budget for you, if there are plans to visit the Hammamet beach.

Residence la Paix

This is a self-catering pick situated very close to the Hammamet Beach. It offers a private beach; over 60 rooms with balconies, phones, bathrooms, kitchenette, and housekeeping; restaurant, a coffee shop/café, outdoor pool, complementary breakfast as well as parking, barbecue grills, and billiards. Do not expect lunch or dinner here as the restaurant prepares only breakfast here. But, it is still my preference for those who can manage to spend $48 per night. You can also enjoy other activities such as golf, motor boating, sailing, swimming, and aerobics.

Sol Azur Beach Congre

Nestled close to the Hammamet Beach, this is the place from where you can easily explore the Hammamet Souk as well as Fort. For $16 per night approximately, it offers rooms with balconies; TV with satellite channels; multi-line phones; dial-up Internet access; in-room safes; sofa beds; bathrooms with bidet, robes, mirrors, and designer toiletries; ironing boards; housekeeping; hair salon; indoor as well as outdoor pools; sauna; and coffee shop. Among the recreation facilities, expect health club, golf, boating, sailing, aerobics, water skiing, hiking, parasailing, biking, and swimming. Even here, expect only breakfast in meals.

Sindbad Hotel

For $33 per night, this is the complete spa hotel situated close to the beach and near the famous Sirens Statue. Within its rooms, expect televisions with satellite channels; dial-up Internet; bathrooms with toiletries, tubs, bidets, and hair dryers; air conditioning; housekeeping; and windows with views. Other facilities include a sully-equipped spa, sauna, 2 swimming pools, private beach, 24-hour room service, free parking, Limo service, meeting rooms, and much more. For recreation, there are many activities here such as golf, ice skating, windsurfing, surfing, swimming, diving, sailing, water skiing, horse riding, and parasailing. And as usual, the restaurant serves here only breakfast.

Bel Azur Thalassa

Nestled near the Bel Azur as well as Hammamet beach, this is the choice of the budget travelers for $16 per night. Here, the rooms are equipped with balconies, TV with cable/satellite channels, direct phones, fax machines, bathrooms with hair dryers, AC, sofa beds, extra towels/bedding (on request), cribs, and rollaway beds (on request). Besides, there exists a restaurant offering all three meals, lounge, indoor as well as outdoor pools, spa tub, health club, sauna, fitness room, conference/meeting rooms, banquet facilities, and valet parking. Further, business services, secretarial services, and translation services are on offer with the complimentary onsite parking and an airport shuttle with a surcharge.

Fourati Hammamet

This one is near the beach and the Sirens Statue. For $18 per night, this is not a bad deal at all. All of its 400 guestrooms have balconies, phones, TVs with satellite channels, bathrooms with hair dryers, climate control, ironing, refrigerators, cribs on request, and housekeeping. Among the recreation facilities are an indoor pool, seasonal outdoor pool, children’s pool, private beach, tennis courts, fitness facility, water skiing, swimming, surfing, windsurfing, aerobics, basketball, volleyball, scooter, bicycle rentals, and horse riding.

All of these Hammamet beach hotels are within some 2 km from the beach and are also near to the points of interest such as the Sirens Statue and the fort. However, kindly check for their rates online as the ones specified here are the rates offers on
